Why Do We Like Adrenaline So Much?

Why Do We Like Adrenaline So Much?

You probably know someone who is an “adrenaline junkie”.

Maybe you’re one of them!

On the surface, they might seem like ordinary people, but when you meet them, you realize how different they are.

While most of us dream of lazy Sunday afternoons, they find dangerous adventures much more interesting.

They swim with sharks, jump from airplanes, and do other crazy things.

And enjoy every second of it.

But why do they love it so much? What is happening inside their brain?

Well, it comes down to three hormones our body is producing when we’re in danger: epinephrine, norepinephrine, and adrenaline.

Each of them is responsible for a part of the feeling we get when we’re engaged in a dangerous activity.

Epinephrine makes us excited, sensitive, and alert.

Adrenaline makes us less sensitive to pain, more focused, and more confident in our abilities.

Norephrine is the most addictive of all three because it triggers feelings of euphoria and happiness.

In short, these hormones make us feel great.

So it’s no wonder that some people are always looking to get more epinephrine, adrenaline, and norepinephrine in their bloodstream.

Especially those who have a higher threshold.

You see, not everyone is equally sensitive to the effects of these powerful hormones.

Most of us don’t have to swim with sharks to get excited.

Those who become adrenaline junkies, on the other hand, are not satisfied with small adventures and everyday excitements.

They love these dangerous activities that offer this hormonal jolt!

If you’re in this group don’t worry – you’re perfectly fine and you don’t need an intervention.

Just make sure you stay safe during your adventures.

And enjoy yourself to the fullest!
